A Code of Conduct has long existed in Farnborough Park in order to ensure that the Park remains a safe and pleasant place for all.
Private events and parties
This is a case of general good neighbourly behaviour and residents are expected to notify potentially affected neighbours in advance of any social disturbance, noise and additional parking so that they can adjust their own plans.
Pets
Please ensure that dogs on the Park’s roads are on a leash or under the supervision of a responsible person.
Animal waste needs to be properly collected, bagged and disposed of at home.
Driving in the Park – Maximum Speed 20 mph
It is imperative, both for the safety of residents and visitors but also for the tranquil atmosphere of the Park, that all traffic observes the 20mph speed limit at all times.
Overall, the Highway Code is adopted within the Park:
https://www.gov.uk/browse/driving/highway-code-road-safety.
Special care should be undertaken with pedestrians and children, particularly at night, as there are no pavements within the Park.
The driving of very noisy motorbikes or scramble bikes on Park roads is discouraged in order to maintain the peaceful character of the estate.
It is the responsibility of residents to ensure that their children and visitors do not drive a car or motorbike in the Park without a current driving licence and valid insurance.
Parking in the Park
Please consider your fellow residents when parking in the Park, to ensure you do not block or restrict access to their properties.
There are designated non-parking areas in the Park, particularly at the two main entrances. Parking is strictly forbidden in these locations.
As our roads are narrow, all residents’ vehicles should only be parked on their own properties, leaving the roads clear.
Commercial vehicles must not be parked overnight in the Park.
The placing of skips on the roads and verges is strictly forbidden.
Working at weekends and public holidays
The use of noisy machinery, such as lawn mowers, pressure washers, electric saws etc, needs to be avoided at the weekend and during public holidays in order to respect neighbours’ right to peace and quiet in their gardens and their right to invite guests and not be disturbed. If there is a particular need to complete activities requiring the use of noisy machinery at the weekend, please advise your neighbours, so that they can adjust their plans, but please restrict this to the same hours as building contractors.
Equally, please be considerate when playing music or games in the garden.
