HOUSE WATCH – Optional Service

Properties with this service receive additional benefits (details on request) and that includes monitoring the property and if you have had a burglary, attempted burglary, or an alarm condition at your property, you or your neighbours can alert the Officer, who will normally attend within a few minutes of being notified. On arrival, they will check the property externally and, where possible, the perimeter.

If Bridge are the appointed key-holders and have been granted permission to enter the premise in the absence of the owner, the Officer will carry out a full inspection of the property even if they believe the suspects to be on site, provided there is no threat to the officer. The same criteria would apply even if Bridge are not appointed key-holder, should the house owner be on site and require assistance. If the owners are not at home the Officer will contact them to appraise them of the situation and if necessary wait until the owner(s) arrive home.

Should suspects be found on site the officer will try to detain them until the police arrive, provided this does not cause a risk to himself or others.
