Farnborough Park has three entrances of which two allow controlled vehicle access and the third is pedestrian only. Visitors and trade vehicle are only able to access the estate from the Crofton Road entrance.
Additionally, there are two walkways, one of which is situated midway along Park Avenue and the other at the top of Hazel Grove. The Hazel Grove entrance does not allow public access to the Park. The one at Park Avenue is a public walkway (footpath 141) and runs from its entry point at the corner of Park Avenue to the Park Avenue exit at Crofton Road.
With the exception of this designated public right of way all of the other roads within the Park are private and do not allow public access.
Traffic Management System
The Gatehouse at the Crofton Road entrance is the hub of our traffic management, with enhanced CCTV and vehicle monitoring systems – here all vehicles are vetted before being allowed entry to the Park. The company employs Bridge Security to provide traffic management services.
Residents can automatically access both entrances via an Automated Number Plate Recognition system (ANPR) – each property has access to a secure portal that allows them to enter the registration numbers of the vehicles they wish to give access to – the system grants immediate access once the number plates are input in the database.
- Funerals and Weddings
Occasionally a cortege is required. In this case, please let the Gatehouse know of the date and time so that the team can assist in an easier flow of the vehicles involved and show the necessary respect.
- Regular Trade Visitors
Regular trade visitors can be granted automatic access at Crofton Road during the designated Trade Times – please contact the Traffic Management and Security Director via email securefpel@gmail.com if you wish to add trade people to this facility.
